Exploring Ubud, Bali
Ubud had been high on my travel list for some time - drawn in by the bright green rice terraces and the promise of zen.

Relaxing beach vibe; laid-back cafe culture; chilled beach bars; delicious food options. Canggu ticks all the right boxes.
Kyoto: temples, history & food
We only had a mere two days, three nights, to see this historically beautiful and interesting city. In hindsight this was not enough as there is so much to do and see - our days were jam-packed with temple-hopping, geisha-hunting, katsu-eating, and tasting the obligatory sake; which left us exhausted but wanting more.
Cafe and Food Heaven: Georgetown, Penang
We booked a long weekend away to Penang (not knowing anything about the Island and having not even heard of Georgetown before) but on a whim to meet up with family whilst they were travelling. What a fab surprise we were in for! I utterly loved our time in Penang and cannot stop recommending it to others.
